Rabies is a severe, and often fatal, viral disease of mammals most often transmitted through the bite of a rabid animal such as foxes, raccoons, skunks and bats. The rabies virus infects the central nervous system, ultimately causing disease in the brain and death.
The Kernel Rabies Antibody Indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is designed for the quantitative detection of rabies antibodies in dog or cat serum.
