Enzootic pneumonia, or mycoplasma pneumonia of swine, a chronic disease with a high morbidity and a low mortality, is caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M. hyo.). The clinical signs include a chronic nonproductive cough, retarded growth, slow onset and spread and repeated occurrence of the disease.
The Kernel M. hyo. Ab Test was developed to detect antibodies in serum and plasma to control the spread of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae.
